Why we do what we do

Our community projects were born from three main reasons

The First

The Second

The Third

1 out of 4 people experience a mental health problem a year -Mind UK
Everyone deserves to know that they're not alone when dealing with mental health issues
Having a creative outlet is important and cathartic and unfortunately in short supply.

A message from patty

While my children were growing up we used to make Piñatas as a fun activity for their birthday parties, and when my eldest (Ali) was suffering from mental health issues, I didn’t know how to help or motivate them so I reverted back to making piñatas as a relief strategy and invited Ali to join me.

The more we worked together the more we were able to communicate and relax and positively release what we were both feeling, while navigating through life with its mental health issues. We have experienced the positive effect that this creative outlet can have on individuals suffering poor mental health.

As a result, the idea of putting together a series of piñata workshops to support others who are suffering from mental health issues as well as the carers and family, was born.
